After installing a drupal site with Lando I was not able to generate my image styles:

Failed to create style directory: public://styles/medium/public/uploads/[media:uid]

Solution

Go inside your Docker terminal and navigate to web/sites/default

chmod 777 files
chmod 777 .
chmod 777 files/*
